We are a target and field archery club based in Weymouth and Portland in Dorset, England
We have around 70 members of which about two thirds shoot regularly, and about ten members also belong to the NFAS.
If you are interested in trying the sport and live in our area please check the courses page for information on our beginners courses.
The club recently obtained a Grassroots grant which has enabled us to set up a new target ground next to our field course and we have now moved in, this has enabled us to provide field shoot training to our members more easily as well as holding monthly GNAS field shoots for club members and local GNAS archers. The larger field means we can now shoot clout as well as normal target on our field.
We will be holding our next NFAS rules field shoot in March 2010, the results of many previous shoots can be seen on this site by viewing the results page. Some field shoot pictures are also in the gallery area.
Details of all our open shoots both GNAS and NFAS for this year along with entry forms as appropriate are on the events page.
5 club members attended the Grand Western Archery week in Dunster 2009, only a couple of awards being won. At the DWAA county weekend in August 2009 both Mark and Michelle became regional clout champions, well done!
We were proud to again provide 3 out of the 24 County Team members for the annual GWAS inter-county event in Exeter for 2009, well done Mark, Adrian and Richard.
